Tronxy X5S - Modifying The Hotend!

Please visit for more information on this and many other projects! As in this episode, we will be modifying the cooling fan for the hotend of the Tronxy-X5S large scale printer from Gearbest. As one of the things which I noticed is that metal fan shroud had to be removed (major pain) every time the nozzle needed to be unplugged and two it also forces air onto the heater block cooling it too. E3D V6 Hotend

I take my PRINTr people on a tour of E3D's V6 Hotend. I show what all is included and the new design changes that make this classic hotend even better! The new version of the V6 has the same 100K Semitek 104GT2 Thermistor as always but it is now packaged in an easy to mount cartridge. This makes installation much faster and easier. The heater cartridge is also different. It has changed from 40W to 30W so that it no longer has the capacity to heat up enough to melt aluminum, which is a smart move in a safe direction. Anycubic I3 Mega Hotend Cover

Features - BL touch - standard parts - flow optimised - separation of hotend and nozzle coolin I wanted to have an easy accessible Extruder for nozzle change. And an easy changeable Nozzle duct. And i did not like to buy new parts - so you do not need anything else then you already have on your printer. If you want go improve the screws you can go for thread inserts. Which i melt into the part with my soldering iron. In the beginning I just did the holes 2.5mm without inserts - works fine as well. But it works fine as well if you just screw the original screws into the 3D printed parts. Anycubic Vyper Dragon Hotend Mod

I wanted to upgrade my Anycubic Vyper with a Dragon V2.0 hotend. Unfortunately, it isn't a straight forward modification which cost my some time. First, I had to use an 3d printed adapter. Second, I had to change the thermistor. I also wanted to use a 50W heating cartridge, but the board couldn't handle it. Therefore, I stuck with the original 40W heater. For 3D printing, the holy grail has been to print directly with AFFORDABLE pellets instead of the expensive rolls of filament. I found this pellet extruder On YOUTUBE of all places. Anycubic Vyper Hotend Dissasembly/ Reassembly

The single greatest cause of nozzle blockages, and especially repeated nozzle blockages, is from incorrectly installed bowden tubes. It is not enough to just shove these things in and hope for the best, there is a method you need to follow and this is it. I disassemble the hotend in this vid and show you how to correctly assemble and fit the bowden tube. I forgot to say how to rectify the issue of the nozzle tightening onto the heat block, but basically all you need do is with the nozzle loose, rotate the heat sync 1 turn to screw the heat brake in 1 turn and tighten the nozzle again, if still no gap back nozzle out and turn heat sink another turn until the nozzle locks onto the heatbreak not the block.
