Седум ( лат. sedum) относится к многолетним, декоративным, почвопокровным, вечнозелёным растениям. Седумов множество видов. Мой седум - камчатский с резными краями листьев, собранными в виде розочки. Цветёт в течение одного месяца с конца июня. Цветы яркого жёлтого цвета высятся на цветоносе в 15 см высоты. Растение славно своей неприхотливостью. Оно не требовательно к почвам, может расти на каменистых, неплодородных грунтах. Седум не нуждается в регулярных поливах, так как является суккулентом. Для того, чтобы седум обильно цвёл, необходимо высаживать на открытом солнечном месте. После цветения удаляются цветоносы с отцветшими цветами.
