How to make peony tea: Pick peony flowers when they have bloomed. Wash them then let them dry for 3-4 weeks. Steep the peony flower in warm water for about 5 minutes, then add some green tea leaves and more warm water. Another way to make peony tea is by crushing the peony flowers after they have dried and then mix them with green tea leaves. Personally, I think it is easier to store the peony flowers in a jar by themselves since this gives me the opportunity to steep the peony flower for a while before I add the green tea. Peony " Madame Calot " (Paeonia lactiflora) is a wonderful peony with flowers that can reach, on established plants, more than 15 cm in diameter. In addition to the elegant touch of these big pale pink and cream flowers, this peony is very nicely fragrant, it is the best fragrant peony of all the ones that have bloomed in the garden until now, even if still to smell its fragrance, I really need to stick my nose in the flower, therefore it's fragrance is not very strong (what a pity, as it is a lovely fragrance, very fresh, to my nose it has hints of citrus and artichokes).
